    One time I went shopping for shirts and suits, but then I found the most beautiful pair of socks and I thought, “I just have to buy this”. So when I did, and I was at the counter, the cashier told me, “You can get another pair of socks for a half off since we’re having a special sale.” So I did, I went and got another pair of socks and then they told me, this time, that if I buy another pair of socks, I’ll get another pair of socks for free…And so I bought another socks to get another pair of socks for free and they told me again that if I buy another pair of socks, this time, they’ll let me have two pairs of socks for free. And I did. So by the end of the day, I had bought about 7 pairs of socks and no new suits or shirts. And I thought to myself, “This is my life now. Spending money on socks.

    Congratulations on receiving an award at the Paeksang Art Awards.  Did you prepare your acceptance speech? I anticipated the award. To add one more thing because it wasn’t quite enough, it’s quite important for actors who started out as singers to receive awards because you form a good impression.

    At least you don’t hear that you can’t act? To make a confession, I think I’ve only acted as much to not get cursed at. When an actor makes a new attempt, even if there is controversy over his/her acting ability, that actor will grow.

    Not only in acting, but in life are you like that? I try hard not to stick to my desires. However, I live the way I want when I’m not being watched. I also do a lot of immoral and nonreligious things. 

    Do you drink a bit? I like to drink and get drunk.  Haha.  I drink to get ruined. I recently drank somac (soju-beer) and made a mistake from blacking out. However, I was regarded cutely. I think that’s a characteristic that’s unique to our country.

    Sometimes it seems like ‘Kim Dongwan in Shinhwa’ and ‘Actor Kim Dongwan’ are completely different people. In Shinhwa, I lack that 2%. However, I like being in this position.  If I was Shinhwa’s A-class or main vocal or dancing machine, I wouldn’t have been able to act.
